Edition 1.0 | Copyright | Publication Date: October 2024

Nada R. Sanders, Northeastern University

Overview

The development of AI, advanced analytics, and emerging technologies has created a new era of digitally driven supply chains that has changed the nature of Supply Chain Management (SCM) competitiveness. This textbook is designed to equip future supply chain professionals, analysts, and executives with the mindset, capabilities, and tools needed to thrive in uncertainty. Coverage includes foundational principles of SCM, but also emerging practices, real-world case studies, and forward-looking frameworks that show how AI is being deployed across industries—from retail and manufacturing to healthcare and entertainment. Throughout, AI is presented as an essential co-pilot to effectively navigate the challenges of SCM today and into the future.

Advance AI Skills with Practice
Each chapter ends with an abundance of exercises that use generative AI as a co-pilot for decision making. Additional deep discussion questions promote critical thinking and provide for insightful classroom discussion.

Flexible Coverage
A modular structure allows you to dive into the topics in the order most relevant to you.
